about us

Beatty & Co. was founded on one premise: collectors, artists, and galleries deserve counsel with no hidden agenda — no roster to move, no auction house to protect, no kickbacks to obscure. Honest, independent advice from someone who has seen every side of this industry.

The firm specializes in post-war and contemporary art across primary and secondary markets. Services include acquisition strategy, collection development, private sales, gallery consulting, and advisory for artists.

Fees are fully disclosed. One client. One loyalty.

Our approach is not about what's trending. It's about understanding who you are, what you care about, and what you're building — then finding work or creating the strategy that makes your collection coherent, meaningful, and yours. No two clients leave having the same experience. That's the point.

Allee began at institutions — the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, the New Britain Museum of American Art, and Grace Farms Foundation — where she developed the curatorial foundation that still drives everything she does: how to evaluate quality, meaning, and longevity in a work before it ever becomes a transaction.

She then served as Director of Martha's Vineyard Glassworks, a working studio and gallery, where she worked directly with artists — managing their output, their relationships with collectors, and the commercial realities of sustaining a creative practice. It was there she learned what artists actually need from the people who represent them.

She built a commercial career defined by multi-million dollar sales at West Chelsea Contemporary as Gallery Director. She led exhibitions, art fair strategy, private sales, and direct artist and collector relations — and trained the sales teams responsible for closing them. She learned exactly how the commercial art world works from the inside.

If you're ready to build something that lasts, let's talk.

Every engagement begins with a conversation — no obligation, no pitch. Just an honest discussion about what you need and whether we're the right fit.
